Thanks again for developing this tool. This is very valuable to help visualize the techniques, review and prepare for tests. I just passed my 2nd kyu test and used Aikido 3D to review and anchor the movements in my mind. What I did was watch a technique, close my eyes, then replay it in my mind, watch in the mirror, and again replay in my mind. I did that with all the test requirements from 5th to 1st kyu, and was able to pull off a yokomen-uchi koshi-nage during the 2nd kyu test, whereas this is in fact a 1st kyu requirement and I had never practiced it before...

Received the CD in only five days by transatlantic post! Techniques demonstrated in a very clear and comprehensible way. I always had a weakness with Yokomenuchi attacks and this CD helps the brain / body link to imprint on the mind the initial entry point in any technique from which a very wide number of defence techniques flow. I echo the comments of others - bokken, bo - and a few more attacks (kicks to the stomach, strangulations on the ground) would be useful to the practical Aikidoka. I just passed my 4th kyu test and while Aikido3D should never replace dojo practice it was nonetheless an invaluable aid in my preparation. Every time I struggle with a technique I just break it down using this software. Great work guys ! When is the next installment coming out ?

If you have bought training dvds you can trash most of them right away.
I have a lot of them (aikido and judo) and none of them has the instructional value of this one. Don´t waste your money on much more expensive dvds, this software does the job and excells at it. From the first hours of study I realized what I had been tought wrong (or I had learnt wrong, either way), so as a tool it has proven invaluable. Nevertheless I would have loved that it had covered history (with images), proper outfit, Dojo etiquette, ukemi, bokken, etc. A kids version with manga characters would be a great idea to introduce them to this martial art world..

Shai invited me to be a beta tester today for the Mac OS X version. Downloaded and all I can say is, "Wow." All the techniques for testing 5th kyu thru 1st kyu. Each technique can be viewed from front, top, or follow modes. You can move your viewing position on the screen. You also have the following choices: With or without commentary; set technique speed from slow to fast; choice of uke and/or nage wearing hakamas; choice of viewing with or without uke or nage being present; choice of seeing nage's footsteps pattern; choice of viewing center radials of uke and nage.
