1. What type of computer do I need in order to use Aikido3D?
Aikido3D supports Windows and Mac computers. For Windows, any Pentium III or comparable AMD with at least 128MB Ram, 50MB of free HD space, XVGA monitor resolution and some sort of 3D acceleration graphic board. An audio card is optional, but not necessary. For Mac, any OSX running Mac, with some type OpenGL support (Recent years Mac all support that).
2. How can I determine if my PC can properly run Aikido3D?
First, check your system specifications according to the minimum requirements. Then, if you are not sure, email a quick description of your system to support@aikido3d.com or simply download the 3D-Tester (PC) or 3D-Tester (MacOSX).
3. The screen is too big for my display, the menu is cutting off
Aikido3D was designed for 1024x768 resolution and most PC’s support that.
1. Make sure Aikido3D is NOT running.
2. Open your control panels then the Display control Panel.
3. Under the Settings Tab set your resolution to 1024x768 or bigger.
4. Apply and close the control panel, then run Aikido3D again.
4. The animation looks a bit choppy. Can I fix it?
Most likely you can. First, make sure your PC complies with the minimum requirements posted on the "About Aikido3D" page. Second, make sure you have quit all other applications for maximum performance. If the problem persists, restart your computer and try running Aikido3D again. If you are still experiencing problems, contact support@aikido3d.com for a customized solution.
5. Aikido3D is running well, but I cannot hear the commentary.
Make sure the commentary button is in its ON (checked) position to turn voice over on. Then, make sure your computer speakers are on and volume is set at least half way up.
6. The camera went "black" and I can’t find my way back.
When that happens, bring your mouse pointer over the 3D animation area. The four red navigation icons should appear over the animation (now black) area. Click the top center icon to reset and center the camera. Alternatively, you can also load a new technique to reset the camera.
7. The camera won’t Rotate or Zoom at all.
Make sure you are NOT in “Action” Camera mode. This mode has a preset camera movement and would not allow you to modify the view. First switch to either Front or Top cameras to change the active view. Then use either the on-screen rotate and zoom icons, or the arrow keys on your keyboard to freely Zoom or Rotate the camera.
